I feel out of place, lately. Like this outfit in this setting. Does a gold chain belong in the woods? Maybe it’s the S.A.D. hitting me, already. The trees are bare, everything’s grey, and I can’t ever get warm. I feel unmotivated and uninspired. Maybe it’s the weather. Maybe it’s the fact that I haven’t slept through the night in two weeks.
I feel like I’m playing catch up. The world is in full holiday mode and I’m stressing out just to get creative. I can’t figure out the right outfit. I can’t figure out the right gift to buy. I’m drowning in gift guides and perfect seasonal looks. And here I am, in a black & blue sweater and jeans, just trying to outrun the swallowed sunlight. Daylight savings time is a bloggers worst nightmare.
Maybe all I need is this little guy. Maybe I should take a week off. I know I need out of this blue rut, STAT. Am I the only one who feels like this? Any suggestions to get excited and inspired again?
